Youth team tables updated
The youth team tables have finally been brought up to date, and include all games played up to 20th October 2002.
Youth games blown out
There was almost nothing to report this week as the Under-17s, Under-16s, Under-15s and Under-13s were all postponed because of the dreadful conditions on Sunday.
Reserves lose by odd goal
The reserves frailty at the back was shown up as they conceded three late goals to lose 6-5 to Maidenhead United at home this afternoon.
First team stay third
The first team remain third after this afternoons fixtures.
Ofori nets late winner
Eugene Ofori fired home an injury time winner tonight as Hendon won 3-2 at Sutton United in a truly pulsating game that was very entertaining, particularly in the second half.
Reserve and youth round up
It turned out to be a generally disappointing weekend for Hendon as every team that played lost, with the exception of the Under 13's who beat higher division Watling Club 1-0 in the League Cup.
Disappointment for Greens
It was a disappointing performance this afternoon as an injury weakened Hendon side lost 2-0 at home to Bedford Town, the first home defeat since mid-March.
Get behind the team tomorrow
As mentioned below Dave Anderson wants the supporters to get behind the team and make some noise as we go into tomorrow's game against Bedford Town.
Sutton kick off confirmed
The Ryman League have confirmed today that our fixture at Sutton United on Tuesday evening will kick off at 7.
Dale Binns injury update
Many supporters will by now be aware that Dale Binns had an operation on his troublesome groin last week which appears to have been successful.
Managers meeting details
The managers meeting took place last night, with a dozen supporters turning up to discuss the season so far with Dave Anderson.
Goal credited to Haworth
After speaking to Rob Haworth this morning, the goal last night against Kingstonian has been credited to him by the club as he confirmed that it was definitely him that the ball hit on the way into the net.
No first team game on 26th
There will be no game on Saturday 26th October to replace the postponed fixture against Bishop's Stortford.
Managers meeting tomorrow
Don't forget that tomorrow night sees the first Managers meeting of the season, which is your chance to quiz Dave Anderson about the season so far, and how he hopes to progress as the season continues.
Coombs released
Reserve team midfielder Chad Coombs, who was on the bench for a couple of first team fixtures this season, has been released by the club as he is returning to New Zealand tomorrow.
Two form sides draw
The two form sides in the league drew this evening at Claremont Road, with Hendon and Kingstonian scoring a goal each.
Big game tonight
It's a big game tonight as we entertain Kingstonian at Claremont Road in a game that gives us a chance to go top of the table for the first time in many years.
Reserve and youth update
It was a largely successful weekend for our other sides who were in action.
Goal awarded to Forbes
Our goal against Hastings United on Saturday has been credited to Steve Forbes by the club rather than an own goal by Adam Flanagan as reported at the weekend.
Stortford game postponed
The away game at Bishop's Stortford on Saturday 26th October has been postponed after Stortford won 1-0 against Eastbourne Borough this afternoon in the FA Cup.
Greens out of cup
Hendon were knocked out of the FA Cup at the 3rd Qualifying Round for the second year running today, Hastings United recording a win which was more comfortable than the 2-1 scoreline suggested.
Hastings tomorrow
The first team travel to Hastings United in the FA Cup tomorrow hoping to continue the good form so far this season.
Hollingdale loan extended
Rob Hollingdale has been signed on a second month's loan spell from Woking.
Supporters lottery syndicate
The Supporters Assocation are in the process of setting up a lottery syndicate, from which a proportion of the winnings will be donated to the football club.
Reserve and youth update
The reserves had a disappointing 3-2 home defeat to Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday, but it was better news for the youth teams as all three youth teams in action came away with three points.
Greens go third
Hendon moved into third place in the Premier Division following their 4-0 win at Heybridge Swifts this afternoon.
Limited spaces left on coach
At the time of writing, there are only a limited number of spaces left on the coach to Hastings next Saturday.
Managers meeting soon
The Supporters Association have arranged with Dave Anderson that there will be a Meet the Manager meeting on Thursday, 17th October in the clubhouse starting at 8.
Sappleton moves on
Central defender Pat Sappleton has left the club and signed for Boreham Wood.
Book now for the coach to Hastings
The Supporters Association are intending to run a coach to the forthcoming FA Cup tie at Hastings United on 12th October.
Ducks turned over
Hendon won 3-1 at Claremont Road tonight, Aylesbury United not proving to be the stiffest opposition.
