Eugene Ofori fired home an injury time winner tonight as Hendon won 3-2 at Sutton United in a truly pulsating game that was very entertaining, particularly in the second half. However, all the other goals came in the first half. Sutton took the lead in the 8th minute when Nick Bailey took advantage of a slip in the Hendon defence, but in the 22nd minute Steve Forbes fired home a fierce drive from the edge of the area after some excellent build up play. Danny Bolt put Sutton back in front on the half hour mark with one of his trademark freekicks that flew in well out of reach of David Hook. Hendon fought back and deservedly equalised on the stroke of half time when Paul Towler scrambled the ball home from a corner - for his first goal of the season. Ofori popped up with the winner at the end of the second half, which had seen both Ricci Crace and Forbes hit the woodwork, and the result saw Hendon bounce back from the weekend disappointment in style.
