Hendon moved into third place in the Premier Division following their 4-0 win at Heybridge Swifts this afternoon. The Greens took an early lead in the 4th minute when Eugene Ofori knocked the ball home from a Rob Haworth cross. In the 43rd minute Haworth himself scored when he headed home a Paul Towler cross. Early in the second half Steve Forbes made it three when he broke clear of the defence to score clinically, and the final goal came in the 76th minute when Martin Randall headed the ball home after a Kieran Gallagher freekick hit the woodwork. The final seven minutes saw teenager Sam Byfield make his debut after a few good showings in the reserves. Hendon are now only three points behind leaders St Albans City and have the best goal difference in the league at the moment.
