Saturday 28 July - Late goals earn win at Uxbridge

Jimmy Gray's squad continued their pre-season campaign this afternoon at Uxbridge's Honeycroft, with a solid performance being rewarded by two late goals and a win. For all that, Zaki Oualah was probably the standout for the Greens in the first half, not only with a great save to keep the score level but nearly getting himself on the scoresheet; his clearance went only inches wide of the post.

As normal, Gray continued to look at his options, making a large number substitutions during the second half and the goals came from two of the players who were brought on; both trialists who managed to make the most of their opportunity to show what they're capable of.

As ever, the result will have pleased the backroom staff as they continue to prepare for the start of the league season, now only a fortnight away, but more important was the promise shown as the squad continue to gel.

Saturday 28 July - Griffith signs up

We are pleased to be able to report that Jimmy Gray has signed another member of his pre-season squad for the forthcoming season, with Taishan Griffith putting pen to paper this morning for the Greens.

Taishan has already made a couple of appearances during our pre-season campaign where he has already proved a capable addition out wide. Although only in his early 20s, he has already made well over 100 senior appearances having turned out for Bedford Town, AFC Dunstable, Welwyn Garden City and both Biggleswade clubs amongst others.

As always, we're delighted to be able to welcome Taishan onboard and look forward to seeing him perform at Silver Jubilee Park.

Friday 27 July - Walton Casuals match tickets now on sale

We are pleased to announce that tickets for all home games will be available for purchase online for the 2018-19 season with tickets for the Walton Casuals game now on sale. Further tickets will be released roughly 2-3 weeks before each game.

The idea is that this will speed up entry to the ground, and also the amount of cash that is handled in the turnstiles on a matchday.

There is a booking fee for purchasing tickets online, but this is purely to cover the costs involved in running the online ticketing system.

In order to gain access to the ground having purchased your online ticket, you should either print off the E-ticket, or show it on your phone, so that the ticket number can easily be identified and ticked off on our list.

We hope to have a dedicated ticket sales page on the website very soon, but in the meantime you can purchase your Walton Casuals tickets by clicking here.

Of course, tickets will still be on sale in the turnstiles as normal - please note we are not able to take card payments - it is cash only.

If you have any questions about the online ticketing, please email us on and we will get back to you. However, please note that due to holidays we will be unable to respond between 28th July and 4th August.

21 year old midfielder Prince Mbengui has signed having been with Uxbridge last season, and he has also appeared for Staines Town and Hillingdon Borough.

Meanwhile 30 year old defender Junior Osborne has come out of retirement to join the squad, having started his career at Watford, also playing for Kidderminster Harriers, Aldershot Town and Northwood.

Wednesday 25 July - Under 23s win first home friendly

The under 23s played their first home friendly this evening against Enfield Borough and ran out 2-1 winners. Previously they have had away friendlies at Sporting Bengal (won 1-0) and Epping (lost 3-1).

Enfield were ahead at half-time, scoring shortly before the break, but the Greens came back well to equalise through Carl Mensah and score a late winner thanks to Kahlil Francis-Onwuaha.

They are next at SJP on Wednesday evening when they play Whetstone Wanderers, but before that they travel to Woodford Town on Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday 25 July - Mental Health sessions win award

Our mental health sessions that have been taking place at SJP over the past few months have been named Middlesex FA Community Project of the Year. This is a great reward for all those who have been involved with this project, which continues to go from strength to strength.

This award is part of the FA & McDonalds 2018 Grassroot Football Awards. On 9 July, The FA's National Panel will meet to select national winners from the pool of County FA recipients and they will be formally announced at the 2018 FA Community Shield on 5 August.

Greg Clarke, chairman of The FA, said "It's been fantastic to see a record number of nominations for this year's Grassroots Football Awards and hear so many stories of dedication and commitment throughout the grassroots game.

"The selection of winners chosen alongside Middlesex FA represents the diverse nature of football in this country and I would like to congratulate each and every one for their inspirational work."

Leigh O'Connor Chief Executive of Middlesex FA, said: "We had a fantastic range of nominees, and firstly a massive well done to all of them. Our winners have shown a commitment to grassroots sport throughout the year and beyond that which makes a huge difference to the Middlesex football community. I would personally like to thank them for all their hard work."

Tuesday 24 July - Friendly draw against Royston

Tonight's friendly against Royston Town ended all square in a 1-1 draw at a very warm SJP.

Royston took the lead in the 42nd minute through Chris Assombolonga, whilst the Greens recovered well with a good second half performance, which was rewarded when Dylan Kearney was fouled in the box and he stepped up to convert the spot kick very well.

Next up for Jimmy Gray's squad is a trip to Uxbridge on Saturday afternoon - kick off 3:00pm

Monday 23 July - Josh Walker signs for Barnet

Saturday 21 July - Greens defeated by Haringey in friendly

This afternoon's friendly, once again played on a hot afternoon at SJP, ended with the visitors, Haringey Borough, winning 3-2.

There was just one goal in the first half, that coming in the 42nd minute when Marvin Morgan headed home a free-kick from Laste Dombaxe.

The Greens were caught napping early in the second half as Haringey scored twice in the opening six minutes, extending their lead further in the 72nd minute. It was Dean Mason who scored Hendon's second, with a couple of minutes to go, as he fired a loose ball through a crowd into the back of the net.

Saturday 21 July - Live Updates - An Apology

We would like to apologise for the lack of live updates from this afternoon's game. We are very aware that many supporters value this service, particularly those who are unable to get to games.

Without going into all the technical details, the issue has arisen due to the way the FootballWebPages service is currently set up - giving priority to Isthmian League clubs as the league use the system for their own live updates service.

As a result, it is looking likely that we will be unable to run the service for our remaining friendlies against Isthmian League opposition this summer - but we are in contact with the people that run the service, and we are assured that we will be able to operate the service as normal once our competitive games begin on 11th August. We will assess this on a game to game basis, and will endeavour to get a message out ahead of the game if we are unable to run the live updates service.

The Southern League do not use FootballWebPages on an official basis, so we will be one of the only Southern League clubs using the service. This means that we will be back to covering all our competitive games - home and away - as long as one of the four people who know how to use the system are able to be at the game.

Finally, for those who have wondered why there were no updates at all on the twitter feed - our official twitter feed is only accessed by two people, neither of whom were able to be at SJP this afternoon. The people who update the FootballWebPages system on matchdays are not the same people who have access to the official twitter feed.

Friday 20 July - Under 19 fixtures released

The fixtures are now coming out rapidly, with the under 19 fixtures being released yesterday. We will be running an under 19 side in the National League U19 Alliance, and we have been placed in the C Division. The under 19 side will be managed by James Duncan, and is being run in conjunction with Stanmore College. Games at SJP will normally kick off at 2:00pm.

Their first game is a home fixture against London Tigers on Wednesday 12th September, followed by an away game at Brentford CST Bees two weeks later. The other teams in the division are Bishop's Stortford, Boreham Wood Whites, Brentwood Town, Hitchin Town, Kings Langley, Luton Town Cedars and Staines Town.

We hope to have a dedicated page set up for the under 19s very soon on which the full fixture list will be available.

If anyone would like the fixture list in the meantime, please email the website on and we'll send it to you.

Friday 20 July - Another four sign on for first team

At training last night, four more players signed first team forms for the 2018-19 season - all of whom are new to the club.

Joining from Northwood is 18 year old right back Lewis Hobbs, who began his career as a youngster with Barnet. He has also played for Royston Town.

Romario Jonas, who is a central defender, joins us from Ashford Town (Middlesex) having previously been with Maidenhead United.

Matty Newman is a midfielder who has come back to the UK after playing in Cyprus, and the final arrival so far is full back Kai Davis, who was with Stafford Rangers last season and has also played for Tamworth and Barwell. Kai has recently moved to London for work reasons.

We welcome our latest batch of signings to the club, and hope that they enjoy our time with us.

Thursday 19 July - First team begin with Somerset trip

The Southern League have just released the fixtures for the new season, and we begin with a trip into Somerset as we travel to Frome Town on Saturday 11th August.

We then have back to back home games against Walton Casuals (Tuesday 14th August) and Farnborough (Saturday 18th August) before a trip to Taunton Town on Saturday 25th August and a bank holiday home game against Harrow Borough on Monday 27th August.

Our Christmas games are at Harrow Borough on Wednesday 26th December, at Walton Casuals on Saturday 29th December and at home to Chesham United on Tuesday 1st January.

We end the season on Saturday 27th April with a home game against Swindon Supermarine.

The full fixture list can be found on the fixtures & results page. The reason there is no game on Saturday 22nd September is because that is the date for the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.

Tuesday 17 July - Four more sign first team forms

Four more players have been registered this evening - two of which were part of the squad last season, and one other who part of the squad in the 2016-17 season.

The two players who were with us last season are forward William Murphy and defender Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway, both of whom were in the under 18 squad last season, and are both part of the new under 23 squad for the forthcoming campaign. William made 6 first team appearances last season, whilst Riccardo was an unused substitute.

Attacking midfielder Laste Dombaxe returns to the club having originally spent a few weeks with us in the 2017-18 season, joining from East Grinstead Town and then moving off to Scandinavia. Upon his return from Sweden - where he played for Ostersunds IFK, he joined Hayes & Yeading United where he scored 7 goals in 24 appearances. In his first spell with us he made 8 appearances.

Finally, midfielder Cole Brown, who scored in tonight's friendly at London Colney, joins us having previously been with Uxbridge - where he scored 11 goals last season - Hayes & Yeading United and Welling United.

Tuesday 17 July - Greens draw at London Colney

A side made up largely of players who are yet to sign first team forms played out a 2-2 draw at London Colney this evening.

On a pitch that had clearly suffered from the dry hot summer so far, the Greens took the lead in the 4th minute through Matty Newman, only to see the home side equalise two minutes later. Cole Brown restored the lead with a tap in in the 21st minute and that ended the scoring for the first period.

The second half saw the usual raft of substitutions, including the first appearances of the summer by William Murphy and Daniel Purdue - both members of the U18 squad last season who made first team appearances - but the only goal was scored by London Colney and the game ended all square.

It's back to SJP on Saturday as we entertain Haringey Borough, kick off is at 3:00pm.

The match report from Saturday's friendly against St Albans City is now online. The report from David Ballheimer can be found here.

Saturday 14 July - Greens defeated on hot afternoon

In a game that was much more closely fought than on Thursday, St Albans City ran out 2-1 winners over the Greens.

The Saints, who included former Greens Luke Tingey, Dave Diedhiou, Roman Michael-Percil, Khale Da Costa and Harold Joseph in their squad, took the lead in the 11th minute, and doubled it shortly afterwards with a fine effort.

The Greens were always in the game, and created some chances, but were unable to find the back of the net until the 87th minute when Dylan Kearney was sent clear and he finished clinically. As the game moved into stoppage time, Cole Brown was fouled in the box, but Kearney saw his well struck spot kick saved by the feet of the diving keeper.

Next up is a trip to London Colney on Tuesday evening.

Friday 13 July - Tyriq Hunte added to the squad

Following his hat-trick against Edgware last night, Tyriq Hunte has been added to Jimmy Gray's squad for the forthcoming season. The 20 year old striker joined from Kettering Town, and has also played for Oxford City, Wantage Town, Aylesbury and Aylesbury United.

We welcome Tyriq to the club and hope he enjoys his time with us.

Friday 13 July - Clarification on friendly admission prices

We would like to clarify our admission prices for our remaining three friendlies as the information posted earlier in the week was incorrect.

The correct pricing for the games against St Albans City, Haringey Borough and Royston Town is £6 for all adults and £1 for under 18s. The exception on the adult price is season ticket holders, who will gain admission for £3.

We apologise for any confusion that has been caused.

Thursday 12 July - Good first run out for new look Greens

Jimmy Gray will have plenty to think about, in a very positive way, as his new charges ran out 9-1 winners over Edgware Town at SJP this evening.

A squad mainly made up of trialists - some of whom whose names were kept under wraps - made a good impression and took the lead in the 10th minute when the trialist wearing number 7 found the back of the net. Adam Martin doubled the lead with a superb strike three minutes later, before Rene Howe headed home a cross in the 37th minute, and the trialist wearing number 10 scored in the 39th minute. The Edgware goal came in the 21st minute when one of their trialists converted a spot kick.

Despite the Greens making 10 substitutions at half time, and a further one with fifteen minutes to go, the goals continued to flow with Tyriq Hunte scoring a hat-trick, and the trialist wearing number 19 scoring twice.

Next up is a home friendly against St Albans City on Saturday afternoon, kicking off at 3:00pm.

Tuesday 10 July - Admission prices for friendlies

Our admission prices for our home friendlies are as follows, with our first friendly against Edgware Town taking place on Thursday evening.
