A late goalkeeping error from Malachi Osei-Owusu in the 96th minute gifted Hendon a crucial point in their fight against the drop, with Rohdell Gordon the hero for the Greens.
Osei-Owusu had hardly covered himself in glory for the Greens' opener after the 9th minute, parrying a loose ball into the path of Sam Shaban who squeezed the ball under the goalkeeper's body into the net.
Parity was restored in the 24th minute when James Franklyn followed up his hattrick in the return fixture with a glancing free header, before Alfie Bridgman gave the visitors the advantage from the penalty spot 12 minutes after the break.
Although Hendon pushed hard to get back on terms, they found their efforts repelled by a well-marshalled back four, superbly led by Tom Jeffes before Rohdell Gordon's 25-yard strike slipped through the goalkeeper's grasp into the roof of the net to give the Greens a deserved share of the spoils.
