It was a Non-League Day encounter to forget as Raynes Park Vale and Hendon fought out a tightly contested 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon in southwest London.

A game of few chances saw Brad Dixon-Smith go closest for the Greens, heading against the frame of the goal in the first half. Meanwhile, Josh Strizovic pulled off a fine save shortly after to deny the home side following a poor clearance.

The point moves Hendon above Hartley Wintney into 14th place in the table, one point below Raynes Park Vale, and crucially, six above Ascot United and Met Police in the drop zone.

Tonight, Adam Fisher's men make the journey to the other end of the A3 to take on relegation-threatened Horndean, a game that kicks off at 7:45pm.
