Hendon kept their first clean sheet since beating Bedfont Sports in November with an excellent defensive performance laying the foundations of yesterday's 1-0 win over Bognor Regis Town.
In a game of few chances, Dave Diedhiou forced Dan Lincoln into a fine low save in the first half, while the Rocks best efforts were narrowly off target in both the first and second period.
Hendon looked the better side after the break and were rewarded for a well-organised performance when a corner fell for Shaban to turn and place in the bottom corner of the net from the comparitively long-distance of about seven yards.
Although Bognor pressed hard for an equaliser, Hendon were more than equal to the task to collect the three points courtesy of Shaban's 15th goal of the season, and his fifth in four games.
