Adam Fisher got his reign as Hendon manager off to the perfect start with an excellent 3-0 win over fellow strugglers Ascot United to ease the club's relegation fears.

Debutant Christian Swaby opened the scoring from Rohdell Gordon's free kick in the opening quarter of an hour and after Ascot put the Greens defence under significant pressure towards half time, Josh Strizovic once again came to the rescue with a stupendous save from close range.

Sam Shaban grabbed his 19th goal of the season from close range from Gordon's second half corner before Jadyn Dundas sealed the points with an unerring finish from Florian Ada's left-wing cut back.

The win extends the gap between the Greens and the bottom four to six points with eight matches remaining, beginning with the visit of high-flying Moneyfields on Saturday at Silver Jubilee Park.
