Monday 13 May - Matchday Volunteers Urgently Required

We are seeking new matchday volunteers to join our small band of helpers for the 2019/20 season.

The two main areas we are urgently seeking cover for the new season are turnstiles and boardroom hospitality, two areas in which we are increasingly reliant on a very small number of people's services.

All matchday volunteers are eligible for free entry to whichever match they are on duty for and will receive full training prior to taking on a duty with people always on hand to answer any questions that may arise.

Whilst we have a wonderful and loyal band of helpers, there were times last season where we were reliant on the goodwill of members of the Edgware Town stewarding team to help us out when we were short of numbers. The greater the pool of helpers available, the less each person will be required to do.

If you are able to spare some time and would like to put your name forward or find out more about these and other duties, please contact Lu Simons on

Saturday 04 May - Twelfth Man 2019/20 launches

We are proud to launch our Twelfth Man campaign for the 2019/20 season this afternoon. Just one week ago we were all awaiting the Supermarine fixture, hoping we would secure our place at Step 3, while now we are looking forward, with Jimmy Gray and Mark Boyce on board, hoping to put in place our plans for next season to ensure we don't have to go through the same again.

To that end, and give Jimmy the best chance possible of recruiting and retaining the players that he believes will do the best possible for Hendon FC, we are looking to relaunch our successful Twelfth Man (and Women) Fund for next season. Every penny donated will go directly into the first team budget to supplement what is already available from the club. Our chairman Simon Lawrence has set a challenging target of 16000 pounds.

For more details or to make a pledge, please look at our Twelfth Man page on the website. We will update regularly over the summer to let you all know how we are progressing against that target.

Thursday 02 May - Club Restructure

Following a review of the club's structure below the first team and recognising the resources that are available to support that structure, a number of changes are to be implemented with effect from the start of next season.

Firstly, and with regret, the club's successful under-23 side is to be disbanded. We thank John Creith, Finlay Johnson and Sam North along with the under-23 squad for their hard work and wish them well for the future. We hope that it will be possible for some of those who were involved last season to remain associated with the club in some capacity.

Joe Pascoe is moving to Edgware Town as first-team coach. We thank Joe for all his hard work at the club and wish him luck for the future.

Hendon under-18 side next season will continue playing in the Southern Counties Youth Floodlit League and the FA Youth Cup.
