Hampstead Town were not successful in their Middlesex Senior Cup tie with Finchley at Fallow Corner on Saturday, the home team winning by 4 goals to 0.

Play ruled very even throughout and the game was contested in excellent spirit, but whereas the Finchley forwards took full advantage of all their opportunities, the Town's attack failed in this respect.

The marksmen for Finchley were Wiseman, Vine, Belson and Heath, who were successful with excellent first time shots which completely beat Matthews, and their other forward Crowden on the right wing, although not scoring, made many valuable openings for his confreres.
