Hampstead Town resumed their winning vein and qualified for the divisional final of the Football Association Amateur Cup by defeating Luton Amateurs on Saturday at the Avenue Ground by 4 goals to 2.
The Amateurs, who are a good side, started sensationally, scoring an excellent goal almost from the kick off. This put the Town on their mettle, but, notwithstanding that they were constantly attacking their opponents retaining their lead at the interval.
On resuming the Town forwards were out for goals, and from an excellent movement initiatd by the right winger H Pike, G Marchant scored close in. The same player a little later secured the lead for the Town with a splendid drive, and further goals were added by A Tomkins and A Humphreys.
Luton finishd as sensationally as they began, scoring with absolutely the last kick of the match.
