Hampstead Town lost their London Senior Cup tie with Green and Silley Weir Works team by one goal to nil. Boisterous weather completely spoilt the game, reducing the teams to the dead level of kicking the ball and trusting to luck for an opening to score. Although generally out-playing their opponents, the wind played such curious tricks with the ball that Hampstead could not score, although the visitors' goal had many narrow escapes, and Jefferies made an excellent custodian. With only ten minutes to go, and everything pointing to a goalless draw, L. Manning netted for Green's from a melee in front of the Hampstead goal.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Hampstead Town entertain Harlesden Town in the London League. Kick off 2.30.
