We smashed the Isthmian League goalscoring record during our evening game with visiting Walthamstow Avenue. The lads won 6-3 to net our 107th Senior Division goal, beating the previous best of 104 set up by Woking during the 1956-57 season.

Our marksmen on this historic occasion were Tony Knox, Jimmy Quail, David Hyde, Peter Slade, Garry O'Rourke and a gift from our visiting right-half Howard Moxom. Centre forward Roy Battram hit a hat-trick for the Avenue.
