Match Report

The lads were obviously a little tired after the Arsenal game, but they still played well enough to run out 5-0 winners.

The first half was rather scrappy, with Maidstone playing the offside game. The only score this half was a 20 yard shot from David Hyde.

Peter Slade took over in the second half and from a David Hogwood centre he headed down for Danny Lakey to hit home.

Peter scored the next himself, he wiggled past three defenders and hit in over the keeper's head.

Just before time he again went through to the goal line and pulled the ball back to David Hyde to make it no.4.

The best of his efforts was the last when he collected on the touch line by the half way flag, he avoided two fierce tackles, took it to the goal line and again pulled it back across the goal, this time for Jimmy Quail to score.
