The feature of this game was the tremendously improved display shown by the Dulwich Hamlet team and it was only our greater experience that brought us the two points as the result of goals by Laurie Churchill and Dave hyde.
The young Surrey side went off at a terrific pace and it speaks well for the fitness of both teams that the pace was maintained to the final whistle.
Although we were well in control of the game some of our lads appeared a little jaded, thus allowing the home side to come more into the game.
However Ockenden, the Dulwich goalkeeper, was kept constantly in action and it was no surprise when Dave Hyde cracked one home to give us the lead just before the interval.
The game followed the same patters in the second half with Hendon having difficulty in playing controlled football against the speedy tackling of the home side.
However, Churchill managed a second goal from a perfect Mills pass in the 25th minute only for Dulwich to register their first goal against us in five League outings to make the final score 2-1 in our favour.
