Today's game with Poole Town saw the biggest league crowd for a Hendon game at Silver Jubilee Park since we moved in seven years ago.
The gate of 531 has been beaten only by the 722 that attended our play-off semi-final against Folkestone Invicta in April 2018 for a competitive match, and meant that the club's average attendance for this season was 18% higher than last season.
We'd like to place on record our thanks to John Creith for organising our latest youth day, that saw 148 members of our youth teams attend the match, while we also welcomed 22 members of the local Chinese and East Asian community to the game as part of a series of initiatives between Silver Jubilee Park, Hendon Football Club, and the Brent Chinese Association to promote wider community intergration.
Also at the game were local councillors from the London Boroughs of Barnet and Brent, and some familiar faces in the shape of former players Peter and John Deadman, Colin Tate, Erskine Smart, and Alan Campbell.
A big thanks to everyone that attended the game, we hope to be able to build on the success of building attendances in the past few weeks into next season and beyond.
