A last minute screamer of a goal from Scott Cousins earnt Hendon three points this evening as they beat Canvey Island 2-1.
The Greens shaded the first half, and took the lead in the 8th minute through Lubomir Guentchev. Canvey equalised twenty minutes later when John Edwards found the back of the net, and that ended the scoring in the first period.
Hendon were hanging on a bit in the second half, but kept the Canvey attack at bay, before Cousins scored his screaming winner a minute from time to get the team back to winning ways.
