We return to cup action for the first time in three months tomorrow evening when we travel to Brimsdown Rovers in the quarter-final of the London Senior Cup. A trip to Metropolitan Police awaits the winners.
We have only met Brimsdown competitively once in the past, that game also coming in the same competition. It was a first round tie played in February 1988 when Neil Wolstenholme was the scorer in the 1-0 victory at Claremont Road.
We did also meet Brimsdown in the Middlesex Millenium Cup in August 2004 when we lost 5-0, having fielded a side of reserve team trialists.
Our opponents have reached this stage by winning 3-2 at Barking, and 4-1 at home to both Redbridge and Hanwell Town. In the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, they currently lie 16th having picked up 33 points in the 29 games played so far. Their most recent game was last night when they drew 1-1 at Dunstable Town.
Brimsdown Rovers are the landlords for Enfield Town, and tomorrow's game takes place at their Goldsdown Road ground, kicking off at 7.45pm.
