Hendon Under-16s spurned the best chance of a very poor encounter on Sunday morning and they and Wealdstone had to settle for a point from their encounter.
Neither team created much in the way of chances in the 80 minutes, but Hendon did waste easily the best of them when Isaac Instance was pulled down by the Wealdstone goalkeeper as the ball was trundling out of play over the goalline away from the goal. It was a clear penalty and Zola Msimanga took responsibility for the spot-kick. Unfortunately, his effort came back off a post and the chance was gone.
"There was very little to describe today," said manager Paul McGreal. "Apart from the penalty there were almost no clear-cut chances in the game. My man of the match was Joey Andrews, who was excellent at centre-back.”
