Joined the club from Chiswick Town in 1922 initially appearing as an inside forward and scoring goals on a regular basis. Suffered a bad injury in April 1925 which kept him from playing until spring 1927 when he reappeared in the reserves. Returned to first team duties at outside-right in August 1927 before moving in December 1927 to a more defensive right-half position which restricted his goalscoring abilities. Moved to Hendon Town in autumn 1931 after falling out of favour with the club's selection committee.
