Golders Green, playing good open football, gave their supporters a fine Christmas present in the shape of four points from Wealdstone, improving their goal average to the tune of 12 goals to 4. They have made a discovery in A. Rogers, who played splendid football.
CHRISTMAS MORNING
Kicking down the slope at Lower Mead, Wealdstone started in promising fashion, and following a miskick by Fisher, Box gave them the lead within a few minutes, but they were beaten 3-2. Midway through the opening half Munday equalised from a penalty given for a foul on Hawkins, but just before the interval Dolding restored Wealdston's lead.
Early in the second half, the Green's defence was hard pressed for a time. Good work by Haskow and Pulling enabled Hawkins to equalise, and a few minutes later Haskow again put through to Pulling. The ball touched Parrish and went to Stroud who scored the winning goal.
