New signings John Evans and Elved Price made their debuts against Ilford last week. Evans crowned a superb game with a great goal from 25 yards.

The general feeling after the game was that we had got another Laurie Topp, which was praise indeed. Elved Price also played very well and put over some first class centres, he to should have put his name on the scoresheet but he did hit the crossbar from five yards after good work by Rod Cullum.
