Being without a League fixture Hampstead [Town] visited Staines Lagonda in a friendly and won an interesting match by three goals to one. F. Young, who has satisfactorily solved the inside right problem, scored a couple of good goals, and G.F. Howell was responsible for the third.

This match served as an excellent try-out for he important Amateur Cup-tie tomorrow (Saturday) with Grays Athletic at Grays, for which Hampstead will field a good side. A succcess in this event would do much to restore confidence in the team, and the club may be relied upon to do their utmost to bring off a victory.
