The Town gave disappointing display in their Middlesex Charity Cup final last Saturday with Uxbridge, and the honours went to the latter team, who deservedly won by two goals to one. The Town were not at full strength. G. T. Marchant being on the injured list. Very little good football was seen during the first half, and neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled. Shortly after resuming the Town took the lead, O. Sumner netting after a rebound from Pennifer's shot. Uxbridge equalised almost immediately, and later scored the winning goal. The Town never settled down to their proper game, and were very much below their usual form, although H. Ashman at centre-half was a tower strength and the most dominating player in the Town side.
