Pinner were entertained on Saturday at the Avenue ground in the London League Division 1, and the Town, notwithstanding that they played only ten men throughout the game (H Ashman standing down at the last minute through an injury), gifted the visitors victory by three goals to one.

A most interesting game was witnessed, both sides showing bright football. A Parker opened the score for the Town, and shortly after the interval excellent efforts by G Marchant and H Pennifer increased the lead.

Pinner made valiant attempts to get on terms with the opposition, but only succeeded to the extent of one goal.
