Hampstead Town gave an extremely disappointing display in their London League game with Braby's Ironworks on Saturday, and succumbed by the only goal scored. Certainly the Town were without several of their regular players, but had only a fairly good team.

The forwards were absolutely inept, and at no period of the game did they appear likely to score. The defence was also not at its best, and the absence of W J Denham was sadly felt.

The Town still have a chance of gaining promotion in the London League, but will have to show better form in the remaining matches to carry out this ambition.
