Waltham were visted on Saturday in the Middlesex League (Premier Division), and the Town strengthened their lead in this competition with a victory by three goals to one.

The ground was in splendid condition, and with the teams well matched an interesting game resulted. The Town missed several splendid chances of scoring in the first half, and Waltham failed with a penalty kick, Matthews making a splendid save.

Half time arrived with no score, but immediately on resuming Waltham notched an extremely lucky goal.

The Town then took up the running, and V Hough equalised with a fine shot. Hampstead now dominated the game and further excellent goals were scored by G Marchant and H Pennifer.
