On Boxing Day, East Ham Town were rather easily beaten in a pleasant game which gave great enjoyment to a large crowd at the Avenue ground. E. L. Hudson, who was pressed into service at the last moment, played a capital game and another old Town player, O. Sumner, was in good form and scored an excellent goal.
