No decisive result accrued from the Town's visit to Guildford last Saturday in the 4th Qualifying Round of the F.A. Cup, honours being even at the expiration of ninety minutes play, each side having scored once. Both teams missed excellent chances in the early stages of the game, but after thirty minutes play the Town took the lead, A.W. Humphreys heading through, following a scrimmage in the goalmouth. Guildford equalised shortly after the interval with a fine effort. The Town had a weakened team, and were stronger in defence than in attack. W.H. Hooper and F. Lucas played exceedingly well.
