A good sporting game resulted in the Town being easy winners by four goals to nil. Three excellent points were registered in the first half by F. Lucas, T. Poltock and O. Warren while such a sound defence was exhibited by W.H. Hooper and C.J. Horbury that the visitors never had a chance of scoring.

In the second period, the home team played a less vigorous game, O.Warren adding one more to the score. The latest members of the club to join the forces are O. Warren and L. Fraser, but their services will be available for the first few weeks of military training.
