A keen and interesting game resulted from the meeting with Croydon at the Avenue Ground last Saturday, the scoring being 2 goals to 0 in the Town's favour.

The midfield exchanges were very even, and the home goals accrued from two excellent individual efforts by A.W. Humphreys, who is thus early in the season proving a prolific scorer. W. Winyard, the Town's new and youthful custodian, gave another fine display in goal.
