Hampstead Town's visit to Barnet last Saturday in the Athenian League resulted in another defeat by the narrow margin on one goal to none. Barnet certainly deserved their victory, their third of the season over Hampstead, as they were the more dangerous and persistent in attack, but although their forwards were frequently well placed, their shooting was not of the best, and the winning goal, registered midway in the second half, was of an extremely soft character.

In their concluding matches Hampstead are taking the opportunity of trying new talent with a view to the future, and in this game introduced at inside left C. Wise, a vedry promising forward, who has played for London in representative teams; W.G. Brooker at back; and C. Staples in goal; and all these players acquitted themselves admirably.

Hampstead's final match of the season will be played tomorrow at Kingston-on-Thames, v. Kingstonians, in the Athenian League.
