Hampstead Town's two encounters with Cheshunt F.C. in the Athenian League have each resulted in a division of points after capitally contested games in the best sporting spirit. On Saturday Hampstead's failure to secure full honours was attributable to missed chances in the first half, when they practically dominated the play, and it was only twenty minutes from time before they opened the score with a good shot by F.C. Gathercole, a recent recruit to the Town ranks. Cheshunt played up strongly after this reverse, and forced a couple of corners in succession, R. Cooper eventually netting with the Hampstead defence in a tangle.

The Town, however, still maintain their prominent position in the Athenian League table, and tomorrow (Saturday), will receive a visit at the Avenue Ground, Child's Hill, from Uxbrfidge F.C., a greatly improved side. A wein will place the Town at the top of the table again.

Last Saturday, at Child's Hill, Hampstead Town " A " defeated Kingstonians " A " by 2 goals to 1, the low score being mainly attributable to a finer display by W. Winyard in the visitors' goal.
