Hampstead [Town] entertained Queens Park Rangers in a friendly encounter on Saturday at Child's Hill, and were defeated in a close and enjoyable game, witnessed by a very large crowd, by three goals to two. Hampstead held a two goals' lead at the interval, both points being scored by F.A. Yates, a new and promising centre forward. J.T. Hall, another introduction into the Hampstead front line, also played remarkably well, and L.G.Mellish kept a splendid goal for the home side. In the second period the Rangers made determined efforts and managed to score thrice. Hampstead also netted again, but the goal was ruled "offside".

Tomorrow (Saturday) Barnet F.C. will be visited in the first round of the London Senior Cup, and Hampstead will field their strongest eleven, including H.H. Allwright and J.H. Parker in defence, and G.F. Blackburn at centre forward.

On the home ground at Child's Hill, Hampstead " A " team will oppose Ilford. Hampstead will include in this eleven such well-known and popular players as J. Abrey, in goal; W.H. Hooper and H.T. Caves, at back; W.G. Darvill, at right half; T.B. Poltock, at centre forward; and it is an ticipated that this newly-organized team will provide some entertaining games on the home pitch when the first eleven are playing away.
