Match Report

Hampstead [Town] made no mistake in their replayed Middlesex Charity Cup semi-final tie with Enfield, winning a good match before a large crowd on the Child's Hill enclosure by two goals to none, despite the handicap created by the absence of three of their best regular players - F.L. Burrage, C. Wise, and H.G. Baxter - with the Middlesex County team in the final of the Southern Counties Championship at Salisbury. In the latter game Wilts beat Middlesex by three goals to one.

G.H. Perry, with a magnificent and well-judged shot, and Cecil Burrage (from a penalty) scored for Hampstead, and Cyril Evans, who is proving a worthy custodian, cleared a penalty kick awareded to Enfield in masterly style.

Hampstead's London League team beat Wealdstone away by one goal to none.

Hampstead's chance of winning the Athenian League championship lends added interest to the concluding matches and ensures a rousing finish to the season. The first of three final home matches, all of an important character, will be played tomorrow (Saturday) when Kingstonians visit the Child's Hill ground. Kick-off 3.30.
