Match Report

Hampstead Town visited Enfield in the semi-final of the Middlesex Charity Cup on Saturday, and a big crowd (many from Child's Hill) witnessed a fine encounter. No goals accrued in the first half, but shortly after resuming Hampstead secured the lead with two excellent goals scored by F.L. Burrage, the captain. They failed to retain this advantage, however, as Enfield got on level terms with good goals scored by A. Chapman and C.L. Green. In the concluding stages, which were extremely exciting, both teams came within an ace of scoring.

The replay takes place on the Hampstead ground at Child's Hill tomorrow (Saturday). Kick off 3.30.

MORE HONOURS FOR HAMPSTEAD MEN

The team has been selected by the Middlesex F.A. to meet Wiltshire in the semi-final of the Southern Counties Amateur Championship at Salisbury tomorrow (Saturday). [It includes H.G. Baxter, F.L. Burrage, and C. Wise, all of Hampstead Town; it also includes C.N. Dickson (R.A.F.), who played for Hampstead Town against Luton Clarence on Boxing Day.]
