Hampstead [Town] put up another convincing display in their fight for the Athenian League championship by visiting and defeating Summerstown by four goals to two. F.L. Burrage scored in the first minute of the game, and subsequent goals by C. Wise and H.S. White gave Hampstead a three goals' lead at the interval. Subsequently Summerstown rallied, and scored through Morris and Head, but G.H. Perry, Hampstead's new and strenuous centre-forward, made victory certain with a good goal.
This success places Hampstead at the head of the League table. In their last six games, four of them away, they have secured eleven points, and have scored fourteen goals to three.
