Match Report

Hampstead Town, as anticipated, experienced no difficulty in winning their Middlesex Senior Cup tie with Limehouse Town by five goals to one. The game was played on the Hampstead ground by arrangement, and the visitors made a promising start, T.B. Poltock scoring against his old club very quickly after the kick-off. This success put the Hampstead players on their mettle, and goals were scored in good style by A.E. Mallett (from a penalty), G.F. Blackburn, S. Briscoe, H. Woodward, and Llew Price.

The players have been in strict training throughout the week for their English Cup tie with Oxford City tomorrow (Saturday), and high hopes are entertained of the result. The team will be selected from:- P.E. Bruty, H. Baxter, S. Dunstone, W. Brewer, R.H. Barratt, H. Woodward, A.E. Mallett, F.L. Burrage, G.F. Blackburn, C. Wise, S. Briscoe, and Llew Price. A large number of supporters will go from Child's Hill by char-a-banc.

At the Avenue ground, Child's Hill, the London League team will entertain Wealdstone in that competition [actually, in the Middlesex Charity Cup], kick-off 2.30. The half-time score at Oxford will be announced during the game.

HAMPSTEAD PLAYER'S SUCCESS IN INTERNATIONAL MATCH
C. Wise brought additional credit to himself and to the Hampstead Town Club by scoring three goals out of four in the Amateur International England v. Ireland match at Belfast last Saturday, and his general display gave entire satisfaction to the critics.
