Hampstead [Town] finished up their home Athenian League programme in fine style by defeating Enfield by six goals to one, thus avenging one of their big away defeats earlier in the season. The visitors played best in the opening stages, and scored early, but Hampstead were quick to respond, and before the interval Travers Day (2) and C. Wise had established a comfortable lead. After resuming the same two players shared three more goals between them in similar order.
This good win puts Hampstead in fine fettle for their Middlesex Charity Cup final tomorrow (Saturday) with Botwell Mission, to be played on the Brentford F.C. ground at 3.30. Hampstead will have a big following for this important game, and a fleet of ten char-a-bancs have already been engaged for the occasion.
