Following a blank Saturday Hampstead [Town] resumed their Athenian League programme by visiting Kingstonians, who returned the compliment in winning the match by the same score - 3 goals to 1 - registered against them when they visited the Child's Hill ground earlier in the season.
In the opening stages Hampstead overran their opponents, penning them for a time in their own half, yet failed to score. Kingstonians, however, got a goal before the interval and then had more of the play. Just before the final whistle, when three goals down, Lewis Smith scored Hampstead's solittary point. This was the home team's twelfth consecutive win, which places them at the head of the League table and they look likely champions.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the famous Botwell Mission are visitors to Hampstead in the Middlesex Senior Cup. As they have not yet been beaten by any amateur club this season Hampstead have a glorious opportunity to achieve fame. It will certainly be a stern struggle, as Hampstead also have an unbeaten home record this season to uphold. Kick off 2.45.
