Hampstead had matters all their own way in this [Middlesex] Charity Cup-tie on Tuesday, Southall offering poor resistance to the onslaught of the Hampstead forwards, and goals came at regular intervals.
In the second "45" Southall rarely entered Hampstead's half of the field except in the last three minutes, when from a breakaway they nearly scored, Smith blocking a shot with his foot to give a corner. Rowe again played a fine game for Hampstead and combined well with Breagan, while Porrett, on the left, showed promise of developing into a useful outside-left.
{Southall's players, as shown, extracted from an even briefer report of the match in the West Middlesex Gazette of 31/12/1932.]
