Wealdstone were poor opposition in the return Athenian League game at Claremont Road on Boxing Day. Hampstead made two changes from Saturday, Boston appearing at outside-left to the exclusion of Gibbs, while Evans re-appeared at centre-forward. Knott stood down owing to an injury.
Hampstead opened the scoring after five minutes, a cross-shot from Bucci going through Miles's hands into the net. Wealdstone were not long in equalising, a fine drive from Short giving Smith no chance.
Hampstead now took the upper hand and added two more goals before the interval through Spalton and Evans.
In the second half Wealdstone were kept well on the defensive, Davies and Loveday, the backs, playing a good game, while Miles, in goal, saved some very dangerous shots. He was, however, beaten twice more by Spalton and Evans, to enable Hampstead to run out easy winners by five goals to one.
For Hampstead, Rowe, Bloxham and Richardson were most conspicuous, while Schofield and Maskell were best for Wealdstone.
