Owing to Golders Green having arranged weeks ago to play Universities Athletic Union, they were compelled to divide their forces in order to fulfil this A.F.A. Cup-tie.

Bucci, White and Drinkwater, of the Golders Green team, took part in this, and strangely enough all three figured in the scoring. White gave his side the lead, and then Bucci put the ball into his own goal to equalise.

Drinkwater put Golders Green ahead again in the second half, Birch made the score two all, and then Drinkwater and Marsh scored to give the visitors a 4-2 lead, which they retained until nearing the end, when Birch scored two more goals to complete his hat trick and incidentally force a replay.
