For the Boxing Day match at Claremont Road Wealdstone made no change, but the Golders Green attack was reconstructed, the forwards being Hodge, Bucci, Marrable, F. Boston and Drinkwater, while J. Bloxham and W. Joyce replaced Weeks and White in the half-back line.

The tables were completely turned, Golders Green winning by six goals to none, Drinkwater and F. Boston scoring in the first half, and Broadis, Marrable (2) and Bucci after change of ends. Wealdstone failed entirely to reproduce the previous day's form and seldom was the Golders Green goal in danger. An exceptionally large number of corner kicks were conceded by Wealdstone, the home side never ceasing from worrying Shorland and Godman.

The game provided many amusing incidents largely arising from the condition of the ground in the penalty areas. It needed something more than a tap to shift the ball when it got into a muddy patch, but there was much more force in Golders Green's attack than we had seen at Wealdstone and Marrable made quite a good centre-forward. The star man, however, was Drinkwater. Perhaps the best goal of the lot was the fifth, scored by Bucci.

Joe Bloxham, who left to play for Wealdstone some time ago, contributed in no small measure in inflicting a heavy defeat upon the side he captained earlier in the season.
