Golders Green repeated their success against Wealdstone on Boxing Day at Claremont Road. They won by three goals to one, a score which did not exaggerate their superiority.
The only goal in the first half came in the first minute. Breagan was fouled, and following the free kick a Wealdstone player handled in the penalty area, Broadis converting. Only on rare occasions was J. McIntyre, in goal for Golders Green for the first time in a League match, called upon to save, and had advantage been taken of passes by F. Boston, Golders Green would have scored at least four times.
Soon after the restart Wilson equalised, and for a few minutes it seemed as though we should have an exciting finish, but after a bombardment T. Evans scored for Golders Green, for whom a third goal was obtained by A.J. Breagan, following a good run by D. Walker, who made a timely pass to the wing. Wealdstone played better in the second half, but at no time seemed capable of making up lost ground. J. Shorland played at left-back instead of C.V. George, and Wealdstone had two changes from the advertised side.
