The visitors to Claremont Road last (Thursday) evening were Sutton United, who proved no match for Golders Green in their Athenian League encounter. Sutton have played several league matches this week, and the fact that they included six reserves in their side had much to do with the result, which was 8-0 in favour of the home team.

At half-time Golders Green were leading by 5-0, goals having been scored by Evans (3), Fallon and Duffield.

In the second half further goals were added by Fallon (2) and Breagan.

Griffiths, at left-half, was outstanding in the Sutton team, and Shorland played brilliantly at left-back for Golders Green.
