Golders Green lowered their colours at St. Albans in the return Herts and Middlesex Combination game on Easter Monday, losing a well-contested match by the odd goal of three. The teams were very evenly matched and the visitors had several very easy scoring chances, which would have given them victory.
Golders Green took the lead after 15 minutes play - a penalty by F. Boston. Gough headed in the equaliser and St. Albans took the lead through Birkbeck before half-time.
