It was generally thought we should have to be at our best to take a point from Leytonstone, for their record has been most impressive, but the manner in which we folded up is difficult to understand.
We started well enough, with Danny Lakey sparkling in the early stages, and a wonderful goal from Laurie Churchill in the 30th minute, raised our hopes.
But from then onwards Leytonstone took control and quickly rammed in three goals to give them a 3-1 interval lead.
Certainly we played much better on the restart but the damage was done and our opponents were content to retain their lead.
