A Hendon side made up of squad players and trialists ran out 4-0 winners at Hertfordshire County League side Hadley who have former Hendon favourite Uche Egbe amongst their coaching staff. To ensure the game finished in good light, the two teams played 40 minutes each way.
The Greens opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Leon Maloney headed home a delicious cross from Kevin Mason. The best chances to extend the lead in the first half fell to Jimmy Froud and Lamelle Williams but they were unable to find the net.
The second goal came in the 55th minute when Dwane Beckford slammed the ball home after a goalmouth scramble and six minutes later George Mapes set up Darren Watson to extend the lead further.
The final goal came in the 68th minute when a poor clearance from former Hendon reserve keeper Gavin Hamilton in the Hadley goal fell kindly for Watson to lob the ball back over Hamilton's head into the net.
