Hendon's pre-season preparations continued on Tuesday evening with a 3-2 win at Hitchin Town, who play in the Southern League Premier Division. Two more trialists were included in the squad in the form of former Yeading players Luke Blackmore, who is a goalkeeper, and Ben Hudell, who Hendon supporters will remember spent a while on loan two seasons ago.
The first half remained goalless, but the scoring was opened in the 51st minute when Brian Haule chipped the Hitchin keeper. Shortly afterwards Shane Hill equalised for Hitchin following a collision between Richard Wilmot and Casey Maclaren.
Wayne O'Sullivan put the Greens back in front in the 69th minute when he picked up the ball 25 yards from the Hendon goal, dribbled across the halfway line, towards the goal and fired the ball home from about 10 yards out on the left hand side.
Belal Aiteouakrim made it 3-1 two minutes later when he fired the ball home having received it from an Iavor Guentchev cross, before Hitchin scored their second on the stroke of full time.
Hendon's next friendly is on Saturday afternoon when they make the short trip to Wembley's Vale Farm ground.
